Day 1 Madrid

You’ll have free time in the morning. In the afternoon, we’ll take a panoramic city tour, visiting the most notable landmarks such as the Royal Palace, the Cibeles Fountain, and Paseo del Prado with its famous museums. The tour will end at Plaza Mayor, where you can enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

Day 2 Madrid

Free day. We’ll offer you an optional visit to the historic city of TOLEDO.

Day 3 Bilbao & Madrid & Pedraza & Segovia

We’ll set off for Castile, traveling through beautiful mountain landscapes. Our first stop will be Segovia, where we’ll take a scenic route around the city to reach Mirador de la Pradera de San Marcos, a viewpoint from which you’ll enjoy the best views of the Alcazar of Segovia, the castle that inspired Walt Disney’s Maleficent’s castle in Sleeping Beauty, along with its impressive walls. We’ll then park near the Roman Aqueduct of Segovia, built in the 1st century and used until 1973, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll have free time to explore the old town, have lunch, and visit the Plaza Mayor, where you can see the cathedral and the Alcazar.We’ll continue our journey on charming little roads that will allow us to appreciate the towns and landscapes on the way to Pedraza, often hailed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. This strongly fortified medieval town features cobblestone streets, historic buildings, a picturesque Plaza Mayor, and a fortress dating back to the 13th century. There will be free time for a walk. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to the Basque Country, arriving in Bilbao. Here, you’ll have free time to explore the old town, where you can visit the numerous taverns and bars to sample the famous “pintxos.”

Day 4 Bilbao & Guernica & San Sebastián

After breakfast, we’ll take a guided tour of BILBAO, the largest city in the Basque Country and the region´s primary economic and cultural hub. A major highlight is the Guggenheim Museum, famous for its striking exterior architecture. You will have free time to stroll around the area, or visit the museum if you wish. After lunch, we’ll depart for GUERNICA, a town known for being the site of one of the most tragic massacres of the Spanish Civil War, famously depicted in Pablo Picasso´s painting. Here, you’ll see the Tree of Gernika, beneath which the Basque Country was granted its autonomy during the Middle Ages.We’ll continue to HONDARRIBIA (Fuenterrabía), a picturesque coastal town with beaches, ancient walls, a maritime atmosphere, and a historic center. The grid layout of its narrow, cobbled streets will charm you as you explore the old town and enjoy dinner.We’ll then head to SAN SEBASTIAN, arriving by the end of the day. Our hotel is usually located atop Mount Igueldo, offering one of the most breathtaking views of this elegant, lit city.

Day 5 Bordeaux & San Sebastián

In the morning, we will visit the Basque Cider Museum. Free time in SAN SEBASTIAN and a pintxos tasting. In the afternoon, we travel toward Castile, with a stop in BURGOS to admire its Gothic cathedral. Arrival in MADRID at the end of the day.In the morning, after admiring the views over the Bay of San Sebastián from Mount Igueldo, we will have free time to enjoy the extensive beach, walk along the city´s boulevards and the old town before going to the Basque Cider Museum (admission and tasting included) to learn about the traditions and production of this popular drink. We will also include a pintxos experience, tasting these delicious small bites so typical of Basque cuisine, accompanied by a drink.In the early afternoon, we cross into France. Arrival in BORDEAUX at the end of the day. We suggest taking a walk through the city center.

Day 6 Bordeaux & Lourdes

The entire center of Bordeaux has been recognized as a World Heritage Site. Prepare to be captivated by the "Water Mirror" and explore the historic old town with its charming pedestrian streets and 11th-century cathedral. Later, you´ll have free time to stroll along the Garonne River banks, lined with quaint restaurants perfect for lunch, or if you wish, you can visit Cité du Vin, an impressive interactive museum that delves into the history and production of wine. Afterward, we continue towards the Pyrenees, arriving in Lourdes by mid-afternoon. You´ll have time to visit the sanctuary (we suggest attending the candlelit procession). Dinner will be included.

Day 7 Carcassonne & Lourdes & Marseille & Narbona

We’ll travel through the south of France, stopping in Carcassonne, a city surrounded by some of the most beautiful walls in Europe. You´ll have time to walk and explore. After lunch, we’ll continue to Narbonne, where you’ll have free time to discover this historic Occitan city with its picturesque old town. In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Marseille, France’s second-largest city. We recommend a walk through its vibrant Vieux-Port (Old Port), bustling with life and dotted with charming small restaurants.

Day 8 Arles & Avignon & Lyon & Marseille

Villages, landscapes, history – today we’ll see some of the most beautiful places in Provence. In Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage city, we’ll explore its Roman and medieval legacy and be reminded of Van Gogh. In Les Baux, we’ll visit this small medieval village and include admission to Carrières de Lumières, an impressive underground show that combines art, image, and sound in its old quarries. We’ll have time for lunch and a stroll in Avignon, home to the immense Palais des Papes. Our journey will continue to Lyon, where we’ll walk through the World Heritage Site old town and take the cable car up to Notre-Dame de Fourvière, a huge basilica offering a great view over the city.Note: If tickets for the Carrières de Lumières show are unavailable due to closure or high demand, we will instead transfer to the Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard.

Day 9 Beaune & Savigny Castle & Dijon & Lyon & Tournus

We’ll set off from Lyon and head to the Burgundy region. Our first stop will be Tournus, a quaint little town with an imposing stone gate and a large abbey. After that, we’ll travel to Beaune, where we’ll have time for lunch and to explore the wine capital of Burgundy. We recommend visiting the wine museum or the historic hospice. Next, we’ll visit the Savigny Castle, situated in the heart of this winemaking region. Built in the 15th century, the castle houses extraordinary museums featuring motorbikes, racing cars, planes, and helicopters. Our journey will continue to Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, known for its lively streets and numerous medieval and Renaissance buildings, including the standout Palace of the Dukes.

Day 10 Abbey of Fontenay & Dijon & Paris & Semur-en-Auxois & Vézelay

We’ll leave Dijon for Fontenay Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we’ll include admission to this Cistercian center. Afterward, we’ll stop in Semur-en-Auxois, a medieval city surrounded by impressive ancient walls. Still in Burgundy, we’ll have time for lunch and a stroll in Vézelay, one of France’s most beautiful villages, where its immense basilica was one of the starting points of the Way of St. James. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our route to Paris, arriving in the evening.

Day 11 Paris

We’ll immerse ourselves in the rich history of FRANCE at the magnificent Palace of Versailles (admission not included), renowned for its stunning gardens. On our return to PARIS, we’ll visit Montmartre, a charming bohemian neighborhood famous for its artists, painters, and cabarets. To fully appreciate the grandeur of Paris, we’ll embark on a panoramic city tour with a local guide, showcasing the city’s impressive avenues and iconic monuments. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel. For those interested, there is an optional variety show in the evening.​

Day 12 Paris

We’ll start our day in central PARIS, beginning with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You´ll have the chance to go up to the second floor of this famous iron landmark (tickets included). Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine, which will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. You’ll have a free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace (transfer back to the hotel not included).Note: If wait times at the Eiffel Tower are too long, we might reschedule the visit to a different time (or on Sunday) for your convenience.

Day 13 Paris

After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
