Welcome to your tour with Europamundo! We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.
In the morning, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour with a local guide in this city, considered one of the most beautiful in Europe. Highlights include the Castle, the Town Hall Square, and the stunning Charles Bridge. After the tour, you will have free time to stroll through the bustling city center and enjoy lunch at your leisure.At 7:00 p.m., we’ll take an evening transfer to the historic center, where you’ll find numerous traditional breweries, as well as excellent dining options and a lively nightlife atmosphere.
After breakfast we’ll head to PILSEN, a vibrant city in Western Bohemia famous as the birthplace of Pilsner beer. Its center stands out for the majestic Cathedral of St. Bartholomew and its historic breweries. We’ll then continue to TÁBOR, a pleasant small town with a very well-preserved old quarter, medieval streets, and beautiful squares; here we’ll have time to visit the town and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon we’ll visit HLUBOKÁ Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic. A tourist train will take us up to its base. We then continue to CESKE BUDEJOVICE, the capital of Southern Bohemia. Its historic center is well preserved, with a large square, cobblestone streets, and Renaissance and Baroque buildings.
České Budějovice is the birthplace and production site of Budweiser beer. Admission to the brewery, guided tour and tasting included. This beer is exported to more than 70 countries. Note: The visit to the brewery is subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed.<br data-start="170" data-end="173">Afterwards, we continue to ČESKÝ KRUMLOV, a medieval gem and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Southern Bohemia, famous for its castle overlooking the Vltava River and its picturesque old town with cobblestone streets. After lunchtime, we travel to TELČ, another medieval jewel and UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its well-preserved historic center. Its triangular main square is surrounded by Renaissance and Baroque burgher houses, along with its Renaissance castle. We then continue to BRNO, the second-largest city in the Czech Republic, a vibrant cultural destination with a historic center full of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. The city is known for its youthful atmosphere, thriving food scene, and cozy cafés.
Today we will gain a deeper insight into the MORAVIA region by visiting several sites near BRNO. Our first stop will be the beautiful gardens of Lednice Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site created by the Liechtenstein family. We will then continue to VALTICE, where we will include a visit to its impressive Baroque palace, followed by a tasting of a local wine from this region, renowned for its long-standing wine-making tradition. Afterwards, we proceed to MIKULOV, a small town with a very picturesque historic center and a large castle dominating the city. Time for lunch and for strolling around at leisure.We then return to <strong data-start="776" data-end="784">BRNO, arriving in the mid-afternoon. Free time in the city center before heading to the hotel.
We’ll depart early from Brno and travel to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, a charming city on the banks of the Danube with a beautifully preserved historic center. You´ll have time to explore its picturesque streets before continuing our journey.Next, we’ll visit Trencin, a small medieval town in western Slovakia, known for its impressive castle and vibrant historic center. We’ll have time to stroll around and enjoy lunch.In the afternoon, we’ll continue our route through scenic landscapes of forests and rolling hills as we make our way to Poland. We’ll arrive in Krakow at the end of the day.
In the morning, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of Krakow with a local guide. Founded in the seventh century, the capital of Lesser Poland boasts an Old Town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During our visit, we’ll see its charming medieval streets, the Market Square, one of the largest in Europe and the heart of the city, and Wawel Hill, located at Wawel Castle, former residence of Polish kings. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time. If you wish, you can join an optional excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring carved galleries, underground churches, and over 300 km of tunnels.
After breakfast, we’ll depart for Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, a small town set among beautiful surroundings known for its monastery and chapel complex, the “Calvary,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site and pilgrimage destination. Next, we’ll make a brief stop at the wooden church in Barwald Dolny before heading to Wadowice, the birthplace of Karol Wojtyla, Pope John Paul II. You can visit either his museum house or the basilica where he was baptized, with time for a walk and lunch.We’ll then visit Auschwitz, the former Nazi concentration camp where over a million people perished during World War II. Now a memorial and museum, it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll tour Birkenau, where trains from across Europe arrived. On our way to Katowice, we’ll stop at the Nikiszowiec neighborhood, built in the early 20th century for miners and their families. This area, known for its unique architecture and vibrant community life, is currently under consideration for UNESCO World Heritage status. In Katowice, the capital of Silesia, you’ll have free time to explore this modern city and financial hub. Accommodation will be in Katowice.
We’ll continue our route to Opole, where you’ll have time for a coffee in this active small town with its well-preserved old town, known for the National Festival of Polish Song. Leaving the town, we’ll visit the Village Museum (tickets included), an open-air museum showcasing life in rural Poland in the late 19th century and the region’s wooden architecture, featuring mills, a church, and farms. We’ll then continue to Wroclaw, a city founded in the 10th century and capital of Lower Silesia, reflecting Polish, Czech, Austrian, and German influences. Its old town, rebuilt after World War II, has one of the most beautiful squares in Poland. Time for lunch and sightseeing. In the afternoon we’ll travel to the Czech Republic and arrive in Prague by evening.
After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
