Day 1 Bucharest

Welcome to your tour with Europamundo! We’ll transfer you to the hotel and you’ll have some free time. In the afternoon, you’ll find information about the start of your tour on the boards located at the hotel reception.

Day 2 Bucharest

In the morning, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of BUCHAREST, a city that surprises visitors with its mix of styles: wide boulevards, neoclassical palaces, and traces of communism. We’ll see (exterior visit) the impressive Palace of the Parliament, the Arch of Triumph, the elegant Revolution Square, and the lively Lipscani Old Town, with its cafés and historic buildings.We’ll also include entrance and a visit to the Romanian Village Museum, an open-air museum located in Herăstrău Park, which brings together authentic houses, churches, and mills from all regions of the country. This tour highlights the diversity and richness of Romanian rural life and traditions. Lunch included. Free afternoon.

Day 3 Bran & Brasov & Bucharest & Rasnov fortress & Sinaia

Today we’ll enjoy a stage of stunning landscapes as we travel into Transylvania, crossing the Carpathian Mountains through forests and peaks.In SINAIA, we’ll stroll through the gardens of Peleș Castle, a fairy-tale palace surrounded by forests and mountains that dazzles with its architecture.We continue to the Bran Fortress (entrance included), a 14th-century stronghold famously known as “Dracula’s Castle.” It combines medieval history and legend, making it one of the most visited landmarks in ROMANIA. Free time for lunch.Next, we head to the Râșnov Fortress (entrance included), accessible by funicular. Built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights, the fortress sits on top of a hill, offering impressive views.Our journey continues to BRASOV, a city of German origin, with a lively medieval old town, defensive walls, and large squares. Free time to explore the city.

Day 4 Brasov & HARMAN & LACUL ROSU & Piatra Neamt & Prejmer

The fortified churches of Transylvania have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Near Brașov, we’ll visit two of them: Hărman and Prejmer (entrances included). Both 13th-century churches, built by the Saxons, impress visitors with their massive walls and defensive towers that protected communities during times of siege, as well as with the medieval frescoes preserved inside.We then continue our journey through spectacular landscapes of forests and mountains toward the region of Romanian Moldavia. Lunch included en route.At LACUL ROSU (Red Lake), we’ll have time to stroll around this popular tourist spot. Our trip continues through the Bicaz Gorges, one of Romania’s most spectacular natural sites, where the road winds between rocky cliffs rising up to 300 meters.Arrival in PIATRA NEAMT, known as “the Pearl of Moldavia,” with its charming historic center. Free time to explore.

Day 5 AGAPIA & Gura Humorului & MONASTERIOS DE BUCOVINA & Piatra Neamt

Still in the region of ROMANIAN MOLDOVA, we’ll visit the Agapia Monastery, a 17th-century convent that remains active and is home to about 350 nuns.Afterwards, in the BUCOVINA REGION, we’ll discover three of the great monasteries declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their exterior frescoes and medieval art: Voroneț, Sucevița, and Moldovița (entrances included). Built between the 15th and 16th centuries, these monasteries combine Moldavian and Byzantine architecture in a stunning mountain setting. Their famous exterior frescoes, painted in vivid colors, depict biblical scenes and legends. They are true jewels of medieval Orthodox art and symbols of Romanian spirituality. Lunch included in Voroneț.Arrival in GURA HOMORULUI, a spa town with a lively tourist atmosphere. Free time.

Day 6 Bistrita & Gura Humorului & Sighisoara

We return to the region of Transylvania, traveling through stunning landscapes of mountains and forests along the Borgo Pass (made famous in the novel <em data-start="234" data-end="243">Dracula), located in the Calimani National Park. Free time in BISTRITA, a city founded by the Germans in the 12th century, with a lively pedestrian center. After lunch, we continue to SIGHISOARA, a magnificent walled medieval town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This evening, we’ll enjoy a very special <strong data-start="560" data-end="600">dinner at Count Dracula’s restaurant, located in the house where Vlad Țepeș was born.

Day 7 Biertan & Hunedoara & Sibiu & Sighisoara & Timisoara

In TRANSYLVANIA, there are many fortified churches in areas that were historically inhabited by people of German origin. Some of these churches are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and we’ll visit one in BIERTAN (tickets included). Afterward, we’ll head to SIBIU,, an important economic and cultural center that once served as the capital of Transylvania. Here, we’ll have time to stroll through the lively narrow streets and squares and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the impressive HUNEDOARA Castle (tickets included), considered the most beautiful castle in Romania. We’ll then continue to TIMISOARA, where you’ll have time to explore the city´s elegant central squares.

Day 8 Belgrade & Timisoara

We’ll depart for Serbia, crossing the border and traveling for about 3 hours before reaching Belgrade. In this lively capital, situated at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava, we’ll enjoy a panoramic city tour and explore the bustling city center, see the parliament, and stroll through Kalemegdan Fortress. The tour also includes a visit to the Museum of Yugoslavia, where Tito´s Mausoleum is located. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore the city at your leisure.

Day 9 Belgrade & Fruska gora & Novi Sad & Sremski Karlovci

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Fruska Gora, a stunning natural park renowned for its landscapes and beautiful Orthodox monasteries, some of which date back to the 12th century. We’ll visit the Monasteries of Krusedol and Novo Hopovo, founded by the influential Brankovic family. We’ll continue to Sremski Karlovci, one of the oldest cities in the country, dating back to 1308 when it was known as Karom. Its beautifully preserved historic center features neoclassical architecture. We’ll visit the Museum of Beekeeping and Winery Živanović, where lunch and a wine tasting will be included. We’ll then proceed to Novi Sad, the second-largest city in Serbia, located along the banks of the Danube, known for its diverse architecture that reflects its rich history. A highlight is the Petrovaradin Fortress, considered one of the largest in Europe and a masterpiece of 18th-century European military architecture, often referred to as "The Gibraltar of the Danube."

Day 10 Manasija & Nis & Novi Sad & Viminacium

We’ll journey south through Serbia, stopping first at the archaeological site of the Roman city of Viminacium (admission included). At its peak, the city was home to 40,000 inhabitants. Here, we’ll admire the Roman roads, as well as the remnants of ancient temples, streets, plazas, amphitheaters, palaces, hippodromes, and thermal baths. Our next stop will be the Manasija Monastery, one of the most important monuments of medieval Serbian culture. Surrounded by towering walls, the monastery’s church still preserves its 15th-century frescoes. We’ll continue to Nis, the third-largest city in Serbia, with a rich Roman heritage. This is where Constantine the Great was born. Overnight accommodation will be here.

Day 11 Kraljevo & Nis & Studenica & Zica

We’ll visit the Zica Orthodox Monastery, dating back to the early 13th century, also known as the Coronation Church, as seven Serbian kings were crowned here. We’ll then continue to the Studenica Monastery, the largest in Serbia, nestled in the mountains. Founded in 1190, it boasts a stunning ensemble of wood and plaster buildings, with its interior walls adorned with Byzantine frescoes. Lunch will be included. Afterward, we’ll head to Kraljevo, a charming town in central Serbia, surrounded by mountains and rich in history and culture. The town is known for its beautiful main square, dominated by a monument to Serbian warriors and its medieval fortress.

Day 12 Belgrade & Kraljevo & Oplenac & Ravanica

We’ll depart for Ravanica, home to a monastery and an impressive five-domed church. Afterward, we’ll continue to the village of Topola to discover its fascinating history. On Oplenac Hill, we’ll see St. George´s Church, founded by King Peter I of Yugoslavia. This church serves as the mausoleum of the Serbian and Yugoslav royal house and later Yugoslavia until 1945. We’ll then return to Belgrade.

Day 13 Belgrade

After breakfast, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with wonderful lasting memories.
